Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network & Network Security Architect with proven expertise in Enterprise Network Architecture, Network Security Architecture, and Architecture Governance.
This role is responsible for designing, standardizing, governing, and continuously enhancing enterprise network and security architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, resiliency, and security across business-critical environments, particularly within healthcare and other highly regulated industries.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise routing and switching, data center networking, load balancing, segmentation, security architecture, and modern cybersecurity frameworks. The successful candidate must demonstrate ownership of enterprise-wide architecture decisions, target-state architecture development, governance frameworks, technical standards, and executive stakeholder engagement.
Important: This is an Enterprise Architecture position and not a Network Operations or Infrastructure Support role. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on operations, support, implementation, migration, or administration without enterprise architecture ownership may not be suitable.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and govern Enterprise Network Architecture and Network Security Architecture across the organization.
- Design and oversee enterprise network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet Edge, and Data Center Connectivity.
- Develop highly available, scalable, and resilient network architectures for mission-critical environments.
- Define enterprise network zoning, IP schema, segmentation strategies, VRFs, VLANs, routing domains, and security boundaries.
- Design and govern advanced network security controls including:
- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- IDS/IPS
- DLP
- Secure Web Gateways
- Secure Email Gateways
- NAC Solutions
- Lead the adoption and architecture of Zero Trust, SASE, IAM, and modern security frameworks.
- Conduct Current-State Assessments and develop Target-State Network and Security Architectures.
- Produce Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), HLDs, LLDs, Architecture Diagrams, and Traffic Flow Analysis.
- Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance processes, and communication protocols.
- Lead architecture workshops, design reviews, vendor evaluations, technical PoCs, and solution assessments.
- Review and approve network and security designs submitted by project and engineering teams.
- Develop risk assessments, remediation roadmaps, and security improvement plans.
- Present architecture recommendations, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks.

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Network Architecture and Design.
- Proven experience in Enterprise Network Security Architecture and Architecture Governance.

- Experience in Healthcare, Government, Critical Infrastructure, or other highly regulated environments is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master's Degree is preferred.
